CP_TREADPORT – Starting Development – TF2

I’m starting a new map for TF2. This one I definitely feel confident about. The name is “cp_treadport”. It is made up of 5 CPs.

I am probably going to make it an all-out map, where no one owns any CPs at the beginning. If that’s the case, it’ll have 2 pairs of CPs at an equal distance from the spawn points. The 5th CP will be where the main battle takes place.

I am also considering it to be an attack/defend map, but those are a bit harder to make, so I’ll stick with this.

Anyway, the map idea is that it is a string of alleyways. I’m hoping it ends up looking like Venice, Italy. Thankfully, the alleyways may lead to some teamwork. If you get a group of people and rush down one alleyway, you’re not likely to meet very much resistance. Strings of rush organizations is the type of strategy I want to have people use.

Like any map designer, I always have the urge to create a secret area. I’ll find out what that is when I make it.
